Zoe Hunton founded Hunton Law in 2011 with the goal of working with clients to build and sustain high-impact nonprofits, foundations, and for-benefit businesses. Her unique blend of cross-sector experiences informs her role as legal counsel and advisor in the nonprofit and social change sector.
Zoe began her career in the nonprofit sector in Boston and Providence and held positions as a researcher at an education policy organization, manager of consulting services at a nonprofit advisory firm, and program director of a startup community development organization. She has provided strategic support to nonprofit organizations and social enterprises, served as Legislative Extern for California Senator Fran Pavley, and taught social entrepreneurship law at Presidio Graduate School in San Francisco. Prior to establishing her own law firm in 2011, she practiced estate planning and business law at the law firm of Jorgenson, Siegel, McClure & Flegel, LLP in Menlo Park, CA. Zoe currently serves on the Board of Directors of Community Initiatives in San Francisco, which provides comprehensive fiscal sponsorship services to community benefit projects. Zoe graduated from Brown University with a bachelor's degree in Anthropology with Honors. She received a law degree from UC Davis with a Certificate in Public Service and completed coursework in social entrepreneurship. Zoe is licensed to practice law in California.
